Transitioning from engineering to high-end jewelry, I never expected a collaboration as impactful as our partnership with Damasteel AB of Söderfors, Sweden. Since 2012, we’ve blended centuries-old Damascus steel traditions with modern craftsmanship, pushing the boundaries of custom jewelry design.
While many artisans focused on traditional metals and lost wax casting, we had a bigger vision: rings that highlighted the intricate patterns of Damascus steel without sacrificing fine jewelry detail. Damasteel’s patented powder metallurgical process and stunning austenitic stainless patterns made them the perfect partner. Our journey together has been a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Favorite Project or Memory
With over 2,500 rings, jewelry pieces, and one-off creations, it is definitely hard to choose just one. I have made so many unique and wonderful connections with my clients throughout the years that have inspired me and resulted in many friendships. I have a very committed following on Instagram, leading to rich conversations and relationships over time. These collaborations have resulted in meaningful and unique custom pieces.
But every once in a while, I get to close the books for a minute and dream. These moments take me back to the origins of JBlunt Designs, allowing the artisan in me to be totally free. Without trying to single out one specific piece, because thousands stand out in my mind, I recently had a creative spark to make something outside the jewelry norm.
I designed and created a Damasteel pen light. Drawing from my years as a technician long before becoming a jeweller, I always valued my EDC flashlight for visibility in hard-to-see spots. At that moment, inspiration struck, and I created the first-ever LUCIA™ pen-style Damasteel flashlight. This was one of the few creations I didn’t want to part with, but off to Germany, it went to a gentleman who simply had to have it.
I pride myself on creating individual one-off pieces that tell a story while capturing both art and my life as an artisan in a tangible and enjoyable way.
