Damasteel’s austenitic Damascus-patterned steel, DS95X, is a stainless powder-based steel composed of two alloys: 304L and 316L. Each alloy represents a good combination of formability and corrosion resistance. These alloys are used in a variety of products for use in specific conditions. Some examples are jewelry, watches and other EDC applications where corrosion resistance and aesthetics are important.

DS95X has incomparable toughness and strength combined with excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. This allows for a very user-friendly Damascus-patterned steel, that is made to be used.

A product manufactured in our Austenitic damascus steel is stainless after hardening and tempering and our powder metallurgy-made steel is also cleaner and has a very small amount of inclusions and impurities in comparison to conventional cast steel. Our blacksmiths’ forging technique and craftsmanship guarantee a Damascus-patterned steel with unique durability and strength.

After the rolling or forging the patterns are finished off by either twisting and/or coining and will be visible after etching.

All Damasteel® products are made from 100% recycled materials. We are committed to continually cutting our CO2 impact in our production facility and choosing green energy alternatives. Sustainability is a core piece of our value system.
