A celebration of excellence in the culinary knife world
This past weekend, at the annual DCI, our culinary knife show was abuzz with excitement as we announced the winners for 2024. This prestigious event brought together the finest artisans in the industry, showcasing their exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs.
Viewer’s Choice: Best in Show
The highlight of the event was the Best in Show award, which went to the incredibly talented Dikristo Knives, from Greece. This award, voted by the viewers, recognizes the outstanding quality and artistry that Dikristo brings to every project he touches. The knife, “Agon” below, was a full Damasteel build in Ægir™, inlcuding a matching handle and saya, the 240mm blades chef knife is a wonder.
Peer-Selected Winners
In addition to the viewer’s choice, several other awards were determined by the artisans themselves, celebrating excellence across various categories:
- Best Paring Knife: Gullikson Knives
- Best Bread Knife: Newham Knives
- Best Cleaver: Kamon Knives
- Best Integral Knife: Gullikson Knives
- Best Japanese Knife: Newham Knvies
- Best Chef Knife: 3rd Hill Customs
Each of these winners has demonstrated remarkable skill and creativity, setting new standards in the culinary knife industry. Their dedication to their craft is truly inspiring, and we are thrilled to celebrate their achievements.
